Kristy Edmonds, creatrix behind California Soulshine Designs, lovingly makes functional pottery to honor, beautify and ritualize everyday life. Her ceramic work centers around matters of the heart, encouraging the spirit to be uplifted by focusing on the beauty that surrounds us. Inspired by the flora and fauna of incredible Northern California, she crafts wares designed to connect one with their heart and with the supportive energy of the natural world. Music is also an immense inspiration for Kristy’s work, as the dance of instrumental and lyrical magic plucks at her heart strings intensely. She makes mugs depicting sunsets over mountain vistas, owls, butterflies, flowers and in honor of her favorite bands. Her handmade bowls hold nourishing berries, her birdhouses safeguard nests and her wall hangings feature quotes by the likes of John Muir and Anais Nin. Pottery making has been Kristy’s life’s work for over thirty years.
